My Great Great Grandfather was Henry Pennington 1834-1888. He apparently was the 'architect' behind the Royal Muncaster Theatre but never lived to see it built. His eldest sons James & John built the theatre and I understand his 3rd Son Harry was also involved. Harry Pennington was the peace mayor of 1819/20. John became the landlord of the Jawbone Tavern in Litherland Road and lived there with his family till he died in 1916. There was another son, Ellis, who I think moved to Ormskirk. Thomas the youngest was my Gt Grandfather and the Agent to the Earl of Derby. There were 3 sisters: Alice a spinster, Emma and Mary. I would be delighted to contact any living descendent of this family
If anyone can shed any stories, pictures or information on this family I would be very pleased to hear from them. I also have a family tree on ancestry which is public, if anyone wants to see this.
