My GGgrandfather, William Edward Jones, (1870-1958) married Jane Cochran in 1896. The couple worked as flour dealers in Liverpool before emigrating to Canada with their four children in 1908. (I have a separate family post for the Cochran siblings.) My GGGgrandfather, Benjamin Jones, was born in Gloucester around 1842, and married Mary R. Jones in 1867. Mary R. Jones was born in Denbighshire around 1843. They lived in Kirkdale and Walton-on-the-Hill in West Derby, and Benjamin is listed as a team car driver. They had four children-Benjamin D. (b. 1868?), William Edward (b. 1870), John (b. 1872?), and Jane E. (b. 1877?). The family was still all together for the 1891 census, with the children employed as Singing teachers, a van driver, and a seaman. The 1901 and 1911 censuses list Mary Jones, Widow, living as a pauper and working as a winder in the Oldham Union Workhouse. Thank you for any assistance you may provide about the Liverpool family.
