Hi Everyone
I'm new to the list and my research is focussing at the moment on tracing any information regarding my great grandmother and grandmother.
My great grandmother was Mary Jane Campbell who went to a maternity home on Borough Road Birkenhead in 1909 to give birth to a baby girl, Barbara Primrose Campbell, my Grandmother.
I am stuck as to who Mary Jane was or where she came from. Barbara's father is not listed on the birth cert. Barbara may have been brought up in an orphanage in the Birkenhead area and was adopted at some point by William STUBBS and family of 7 Asquith Street, Birkenhead. She later married my grandfather Frank EATON in 1931 in Birkenhead at St Peter's in Churhc Road, Tranmere.
If anyone could suggest any ways in which I might be able to trace Barbara's adoption, orphanage upbringing and who Mary Jane Campbell was - I'd be grateful.
Thanks

I don't think that there is a Mary Jane in my tree, however, I am researching my great grandfather Alexander CAMPBELL and if I come across this name, will let you know.
