I am researching Thomas DEALEY, his life, and his ancestors.
Thomas William DEALEY was born in Liverpool 1793, died Liverpool 1870. Family lore says he was steward to Earl of Derby; later land agent, handled money for building of Mersey Docks, "well fixed financially" thereafter; BANNERMAN was friend.
Married Leonora QUAYLE ca 1812 in Liverpool or Isle of Man.

Derby, Liverpool; d 1894 Dallas, Texas; answered Liverpool newspaper ad for foreman of Sales shoe business/maker after Mr. Sales died ca 1847; met Mary Ann Nellins, who was working for Sales, whom he married 10 Jan 1851. Lived in Everton; moved to Rusholme, Manchester ca 1855-1862 then Cheetham Hill, Manchester ca 1863
then Northampton ca 1864; returned to Liverpool (Windsor) by 1866; owned shoe shop. Stood surety for friend who defaulted, costing DEALEY his shoe business. Borrowed money to emigrate with family on the bark Herbert to Galveston Texas where he had a relative; Liverpool friend provided stock of tea and spices so DEALEY could open tea and coffee business in Galveston.
