Hi, I'm a new member researching the EATON family of Merseyside. So far I have traced us back to my great, great, great grandfather William EATON born in 1810 in Bootle who married Jane (born 1810 in Brookhouse, Lancs) and lived in Much Woolton. He had a brother James born 1805 in Bootle. William and Jane had six children Mary 1838, Robert 1844, Ann 1846, James 1849, Edward 1852, George 1854. They all lived at 23a Allerton Road in Much Woolton, Lancs as appears in the 1871 and 1881 census. William died in 1875 and Jane in 1889. They are both buried at St Peter's Churchyard in Woolton, together with their son James (1875), daughter Mary (1866), daughter in law Hannah (1907).
In 1884 the family's cottage at 23a Allerton Road, Much Woolton, was one of four bought and demolished to make way for the building of Woolton Village Club which opened in 1885. The family moved to 4 Mount View and 53 Allerton Road in Much Woolton.
I would like to find out initially who William's mother and father were and where they came from - also if they had any other children.
If anyone could help point me in the right direction as to where I could look - or indeed provide any information, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!
