Looking for information regarding William HONT/HUNT. The last name spelling is HONT, however some confusion has resulted in spelling it as HUNT. William HONT DOB is appx. 1842, in Birmingham Warwickshire. I believe he was married several times. One to Rebecca Jordan, they had many children - one was which is my grandmother -Teresa (HONT) Eaton. William was an confectionor and Dramatic actor in Liverpool. Teresa was an Artists model, prior to her marrage to James Eaton.

His father was William Hont, born in Birmingham, mother Rebecca, born in Liverpool. I have all the family on the 1891 census, when they lived in Liverpool, but can only find one of the daughter on the 1901 census. Walter Hont, married my grandmother Florence Sparks in Liverpool, c 1906, and they had 4 daughters. Catherine, Amy, and twins, Emily, and Mary, who was my mother. I was told Walter Hont went to Canada, and the family never heard from him again, the girls grew up never knowing their father. Many years later my grandmother legally had him declared dead because she had not heard from him again. I would love to know more about the Hont family, and their families. I would be grateful if you could help. Thank you. M

Hi, I have started to complete my family tree and whilst doing an online search this post came up. The reply above from M is I think from my mum who was doing the family tree before her death. I have come across a few issues with the surname as well and one census has them down as Hunt, whilst another has them as Hont. Debbie
