One of my ancestors Sarah Jane McGurn married James KERMODE occ Printer in 1869. James's father was William Henry KERMODE also a Printer
Sarah Jane died in Jan 1872 . The death certificate gives her as "wife of James KERMODE a Public House Manager" Sarah died at 35 Bourne Street.
3 months later their baby daughter Sarah Jane KERMODE died aged 5 months. James's occupation is given as Printer and the address is 26 Upper Dalton Street.
Believe that Sarah Jane and James also had a son called William Henry.

Thanks Caryl. The name Kermode appears to be from the Isle of Man which could explain why some were living in the 'Pool.
Will keep the names on file just in case any connection. Think that James remarried quite quickly after Sarah Jane died in 1872.
