KENDRICK
Interested in anyone who knew or is related to my great grandfather below.
George KENDRICK born 25 July 1887 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Moved to Liverpool (age 11-13) about the turn of the century with his sister and her husband. Recorded in the 1901 England Census as living at 5 Hatherley Street, South Seacombe with his sister Clara, her husband John Young (an iron moulder) and their two young sons Charles (3yrs) and Sidney Young (7mths).
His father was:-
Joseph Kendrick born 1844 Wolverhampton - bricklayer
Died 1889 Wolverhampton
His mother was:-
Hannah Lees born 1840 Wolverhampton
Died 1892 Wolverhampton
His siblings were:-
Mary Ann Kendrick born 1866 Wolverhampton
Thomas Kendrick born 1868 Wolverhampton
Alice Kendrick born 1870 Wolverhampton
Clara Kendrick born 1873 Wolverhampton
Amy Kendrick born 1879 Wolverhampton
George's occupation in 1912 according to his marriage certificate is that he was a Engine Fitters Labourer.
He married Georgina Florence Turner on the 27 April 1912 at the Egremont Presbyterian Church (Seabank Road). In 1912 George Kendrick is listed as living at 6 Shakespeare Road, Seacombe where his first son George Henry Kendrick is recorded as being born in 1913 also. At some point between the birth of George Henry Kendrick in 1913 and the second son Albert Edward Kendrick in 1915, the Kendrick family moved out to the far end of the Wirral to live at the address 1 Cottage, South Parade, Parkgate where the rest of the Kendrick of that generation were born.
George & Georgina Kendrick's children were:-
George Henry Kendrick born 1913 Seacombe
Albert Edward Kendrick born 1915 Parkgate
Cynthia Florence Kendrick born 1919 Parkgate
William Alfred Kendrick born 1920 Parkgate
Frederick Norman Kendrick born 1924 Parkgate
At some George & Georgina Kendrick (my great grandparents) moved out of Parkgate because in there old age they are recorded as living at 25 Doreen Avenue, Greasby, Moreton in 1967. Both died at Osborne House in Wallasey the following year shortly after each other.
Many thanks
Richard
