Hi Lydia, I too am researching MARTINS Liverpool. I am not aware of a Thomas in the family but I do have an Anne Jane MARTIN. Born Dundalk Ireland Known brothers Matthew born Dundalk, Co Louth Ireland Michael/Joseph, born Liverpool James born Liverpool
Anne Jane married a Robert McKEE but may have had a previous marrige to a Patrick MARTIN ( same surname as her maiden name)
The MARTIN family came to Liverpool from Dundalk Co Louth in time for the birth of Michael/Joseph who was Iyr in the 1851 census
Any connection? I do hope so! Annie

Hi Lydia, Thanks for your response......mmmm! I still have a lot to learn yet re my Martins so more info might come to light in the future.
I have put some more details on list re my Martin family and have some male lines that I still have to research.
For example I have a Patrick, James, Lawrence and Matthew MARTIN of whom I know nothing other than their names but they where all born Liverpool. Any of these could have married and had children. All four of them had a special attachment to my Anne Jane Martin and may well have had children and given them her name!
I think it will be worth our keeping our options open and watching for any updates on our families.
What year was your mother Anne Jane born?
I have found my family has not followed tradition re the name of the father goes to the ???nd born etc. So following the family names to a pattern is out but the family names do continue through the generations.
The name George was my Anne Jane's grandfather The name Robert was Lawrence's step father and George was his great grandfather and Anne Jane his mother. So I have three of your family names in my Martin tree which proves nothing but let's keep our options open!
Food for thought! Thanks again for your response, Annie
