Hi Jambutty! Thought i wouldn't get a response hence the lack of info. I'm looking for relations of the Mckie family, particularly those of the late Charles William Mckie. Born in 1919 in Liverpool. Who married Ada Cooke in 1956. They had Four Sons Charles,David,Stephen and Alex. And One daughter Linda. Look forward to any information you may care to share. Regards THX1138n

Hi Caryl Well I'm looking for my Grandfather's info. He was a merchant seaman. I think he died in 1943. He has no middle name just Alexander Mckie. It would be good if I could find his marriage certificate. he was married to a "Rose Black" around 1901. I think his marriage and death was in Liverpool. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Alex

Had a quick look in 1901 but couldn't see him, however I did find an Alexander in the 1891 (Foley Street, Kirkdale) census aged 13. Father John (b. Scotland) mother Catherine (b. Liverpool) and siblings, James, John, Robert and Annie all b. Liverpool. Is the image of any use to you? Barb

Thanks Alex Hi Alex, A couple of years since you posted the above and I don't know how far you got in finding that marriage. I came across your post with no further follow-ups while browsing this site and found the following on FreeBMD: Alexander McKie married Elizabeth Black in Liverpool - Vol: 8b - Page: 104 - Dec qtr 1901. If you haven't found him already, hope this helps. Dickiesam
