Hello there thank you for all this information I have got back to Edward Jennings born 1787 who came to Liverpool from Hereford after being discharged from the army sometime after 1824 not sure of the year. He died in Liverpool 1849 days after his wife Margaret nee Gallagher. Yes I have Henry at Blue Coats school he gave a very good account of his time there in one of his diaries and listed all the teacher at the time of his schooling. But thank you again for all the information you have given Kind regards Eileen

Eileen , on the 1861 census Ann Noel's father was Edward Noel Mariner born c 1819 in Colchester ? also there is someone on Ancestry.com with a copy of her marriage certificate which states her father was Robert ? Noel a Mariner.

hello again thank you again for further info. I have a snippet in a diary written by my great grandfather where he states my mother today 26th Dec 1859 married edward noel a mariner and a native of Jersey at the church of St Philip. I have a copy of the 1861 census where it says colchester so not sure which is right. Hannah Noel wife of Edward mother of Annie died 2nd sept 1871. I have applied for marriage cert of Ann Noel to Daniel Miranda which usually takes around 10 days maybe it is the right one if not will have to look again, I am certain her father is Edward.
thanks again Eileen

Today I received marriage certificate of Ann Noel to Daniel Miranda 20th May 1878. She is the right age 18 years old. Even though it says her father's name is Robert Noel I believe this is the right person and that her father should be Edward Noel who died 8th April 1870 my great grandfather Henry Jennings stated in a diary that Edward Noel died in Medical Ward attached to brownlow Hill Hospital death cert states same date but Liverpool workhouse. My reason for believing this marriage cert for Ann Noel to be right person her address is Upper Harrington Street where my grandmother was born 1877. My grandmother's father Henry Jennings was half brother to a Ann Noel. Also one of the witnesses on the certificate is a Margaret Wood. Henry Jennings Married Sarah Wood who had a sister Margaret Ann Wood Thanks for all the help and census info on Annie and Daniel. poirot stated that there was someone at Ancestry with this marriage cert does anyone know how I would get in touch with them thanks again for all imput
