Hi John, my great grandmother's maiden name was Bang-Beddows (b. 1885, Liverpool ). Her father was John Beddows (b. 1865 aprox. in Liverpool), he lived in West Derby. His father may have been James Beddows (b. 1808), who was from Bude North, Shropshire and I think his wife Mary Anne ? (b 1825) was from Staffordshire. Any use? Dean

Sorry for the delay, John. It's my intention to start pulling in birth certificates for the paternal side of my family. The Beddows branch will be a part of this. The Beddows side of my family is a slight mystery. My great grand mother, Isabella Bang-Beddows, has put down on her marriage certificate, that her father is named John Beddows. So, until I apply for her birth certificate, I'm no nearer the wise as to who her mum was. When I find something a bit more concrete as to John Beddows and his lineage, I'll pass it on. All the best, dean

Hi John, well you know how it is, you plan to work on one part of the tree when all of a sudden a whole load of information comes in that's about another branch of the family all together. In my case a genes reunited contact came up trumps with loads of interesting material for one branch of my wife's family in Derbyshire. The Beddows research, although stalled still remains a priority. My great grandmother sounds as though she had one of those lives that could fill a library full of books. I'm sure that I'll be getting back 'round to her very shortly. Cheers, Dean

Hello John, I am new to this site, my wife's grandmother was named alice beddows before she married her grandfather Alfred Sinkinson. Her mother told her her grandmother came from Shropshire, and had two sisters in Garston that owned a fish and chip shop. Peter
