I have a very large Barker tree and have a JOHN BARKER listed. He was born in 1787 and the son of HENRY BARKER 1754 AND ELIZA DIXON. They lived in the Huyton With Roby area, though future generations did live in West Derby Hundred.
Do you know your Great Grandmother's maiden name? This should be listed on Samuel's birth certificate. You will then be able to find her marriage to John.I then might be able to help you. A little more information is needed to find a link.

My Grandfather was Fredrick James BARKER, and I think he was born in the everton area, He had a sister Esther, and at least one brother, George who ran Barkers motors on Smithdown road. Fredrick and His first wife "Jessie" lived at 20 Minerva Street, Everton till around 1908. They had four children, 3 boys and one girl, unfortunatly the girl and one of the boys died 1908. Fredrick moved to the Waterloo area and started a new live with my grandmother around 1915. The two boys, Charley and Walter also moved to the Waterloo / Crosby area , and as far as I know their decendents are still in the area. Any info would be Greatly apreciated. many thanks, Davey
